Connected Account Data Deletion

This page explains how to disconnect Facebook and Instagram accounts from Clipwing and request deletion of information Clipwing received through Meta Platform APIs.

1. DISCONNECT IN CLIPWING

Sign in to Clipwing, open Settings, select Accounts, open Manage for each Facebook or Instagram account, and choose Disconnect. This immediately prevents that connection from being selected for new scheduled publications.

2. REVOKE ACCESS AT META

For Facebook, open Settings, then Apps and Websites, find Clipwing Autopilot, and remove it. For Instagram, open the Apps and Websites area in Instagram settings and remove Clipwing Autopilot. Revoking access invalidates that connection and prevents future API access.

3. REQUEST DELETION FROM CLIPWING

Email [email protected] from the email address associated with your Clipwing account. Use the subject "Meta data deletion request" and include your Clipwing account email plus the Facebook Page name or Instagram username you connected. Never send passwords, access tokens, or authentication codes.

We may ask for limited additional information to verify your identity and authority over the Clipwing account. We will acknowledge the request, provide a confirmation reference, and normally complete verified requests within 30 days unless applicable law permits or requires a different period.

4. INFORMATION WE DELETE OR DISABLE

For a verified request, Clipwing deletes or permanently disables Meta access tokens, granted-permission and token-expiration records, Meta user and connected-account identifiers, Facebook Page and Instagram professional account profile metadata, and other Meta-derived connection data associated with the request. Pending publishing through the deleted connection is canceled or disabled.

Clipwing deletes or de-identifies related provider status and diagnostic records unless limited retention is required for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, accounting, legal compliance, or backup integrity. Any retained record remains restricted and is deleted when the applicable retention requirement ends.

5. CONTENT ALREADY PUBLISHED

Disconnecting Clipwing or deleting Clipwing's Meta-derived data does not delete Reels or other content already published on Facebook or Instagram. Delete published content directly from the relevant Facebook Page or Instagram account.

6. DELETE YOUR FULL CLIPWING ACCOUNT

To request deletion of your full Clipwing account and other personal information, email [email protected]. State that you want full account deletion rather than only Meta connected-account data deletion.
